Well, this is our first electronic-only edition of West Boats News. We do not send any kind of ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ e-mails, so you will have to visit each month if you want to see what’s new around here. All we ask is that you drop us an e-mail every once in a while… (The blue or red words are links to more information.)
Fall around here means a new year model and we are starting to
get some 2009 boats.
Everything seems to be fall-ing!
Rain…fuel prices… grocery costs…
But, if the falling Dow Jones has you feeling down, check out
the fishing facts.
Did
you know that you burn around 345 calories per hour while
fishing? But
who fishes for only an hour?
And we all know that exercise is good for the heart,
right? It is
relaxing and reduces stress, right?
So, we have decided that:
FISHING IS HEALTHY and HELPS REDUCE STRESS!
WE NEED PICTURES!

Fishing also keeps kids out of trouble.
So to get through this “economic melt-down,” why not grab
your kids (or borrow some) and take them fishing?
You can burn calories and relieve stress while giving a
gift that will last a lifetime!
Priceless!
(At least a bit cheaper on fuel…)
But don’t forget to make sure you have a Yamaha 10-Micron
fuel filter installed on your boat.
Yamaha warns that “ethanol attracts and absorbs moisture
from the air. That
means boaters will likely face more fuel contamination issues
from water absorbed through their fuel tank vents.”
Remember to always keep a spare filter in your boat and
make sure your products say “Yamaha” because “all Yamaha
products, rigging, accessories and parts, including Yamalube
lubricants and fuel stabilizers are compatible with fuel blends
using up to 10 percent ethanol.”
Yamaha also warns that “Ethanol blends can react
chemically with MTBE fuel blends, causing additional
contamination.”
